A year in the making

Some of you may know that I took last year off from Split Pea and took a one year, full time position teaching foundations at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY.  Being back in the studio teaching full time was great but I sincerely missed seeing my clients and their children. This past week I was back at it and lucky enough to photograph little Miss Kayleigh. Only 9 days old and the new baby smell and softness was enough to pull me back to this business hook, line and sinker.

Rain or Shine

The fall colors have been amazing this season, so beautiful in fact, that despite the rain Heather and her family bravely hiked into the woods to capture this years portraits of their kids. Here are just a few from a  batch full of great smiles and freckles!

just sweetness

 sweet summer goes by too quickly. seems like yesterday I was planning how much I would accomplish this summer. Now the leaves have begun to change, cider doughnuts have appeared in stewart's and  my list is just as long, if not longer than when summer began.....oh well......look for fall specials coming your way.......

New Hobby

I have a new addiction, I can't stop photographing kids toys. Here are a few sneak peaks but believe me there are many more! I will be listing these on my Etsy shop within the month. I just love the way they look framed in my kids' room and think you will too.

The next time you book a session, pull aside a few of your child's favorite toys. The photographs of these objects would be a great addition to your family photo.

The only thing better than turning 4 would be turning 4 as Optimus Prime! I love these shots of Sam's birthday almost as much as I love my nephew Sam-Happy Birthday!!

Campbell

This weekend was so great!  Campbell is so much fun to photograph and it was my first official outdoor shot for 2011!! Yeah, Bring on spring!
